Checkerboard Sun Block Saree

This Mul cotton saree is a study in contrasts. A warm cream base carries hand-printed motifs in mustard, deep blue and black. The pallu brings a bold, graphic finish: a checkerboard of black squares, each centred with a mustard sun-like circle, alternating with soft, streaked blue squares. A fine black-and-white striped block-print border with a delicate patterned edge frames the saree and ties the look together.

The fabric is light and breathable, so it stays comfortable through long days and gets softer with every wash. Mul cotton is a natural, biodegradable fibre, and block printing relies on skilled hands rather than heavy machinery, which keeps the process gentle on the planet.
